We had our very first trip to the Portland Zoo yesterday and what fun it was! We took off in the morning and headed down...
so far we are all smiles!
Dad loaded up our wagon and we rode in that to see the animals. It was a sunny day so we had to wear our hats. Sister was good about keeping hers on, but I still like to take mine off.
I was so excited to see the zebras. Whenever mom would ask me what animals we were going to see, I proudly said "zebras!", then I would add some other animals.
In the penguin house, sister sat by the fake ones while I looked at the real ones.
Dad held me up to see most of the animals. I heard him say they all must be drugged because almost every animal was sleeping. Here we are looking at the big elephants.
After seeing all the big animals, we sat in the grass for a picnic lunch and then mom bought a yummy elephant ear that we all shared. Then it was time for the ride home. Three hours was plenty of time to spend at the zoo.

We crashed in our car seats all the way home. I can't wait to go back again!
