Kaitlyn's 1!!!

One year ago on the 18th of August, I got the best surprise ever... my sister Kaitlyn! Yep, she is one already. But before we celebrated her birthday, mom and Kaitlyn and I went to visit Auntie Di in Medford with Grandma Wylene, Aunt Lora, and Emily and Ashley. It was quite the caravan. Here is sister in her new bikini...

and me in the pool with Auntie Di. The pool was a bit chilly so sister didn't get in. Even mom whimped out a few times but I still tried it!

We had fun one afternoon trying on shades...

and I sported my new suit as well.

Emily and Ashley got the same one thanks to Grandma Wylene.

Did she secretly want triplets???

After we got back from Medford, it was party time.

I was thinking that sister's party was going to be a drag... what does a 2 year old do at a baby party??? The answer...
Jump in a bouncy house!!!

Mom borrowed the house from Aunt Lora and we loved it! It was really hot and muggy that day (whatever that means) and here I am a sweaty mess.Mom sures likes to make sister laugh!I knew things were looking even better after the bouncy house because I saw presents. I helped sister open them - as well as every other kid under 5 there. Then I stopped to pose for a picture - as you can see, sister was still into the gifts. Then it was cake time! I couldn't wait! I practiced singing Happy Birthday to sister for the entire week up to the party. So after it was done and sister had her fun...

I got my piece too. What a party. I told mom I am excited that sister gets another party with dad's family soon.

One final note... sister wanted me to update you on her particulars...

At one year of age:
Height - 29.5 inches, Weight - 20 lbs. 8 oz. (which is almost 4 pounds less than I was at the same age but big enough to ride forward facing in the car), she can say "hi" when the phone is up the her mouth and of course can say "dada" - no other dominate words yet (mom is a little sad!), and she walks around holding onto everything she can to get the practice before she takes off herself. Won't be long and she will be walking and talking - just like me!
