Trip #2 to the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago our mom took us to the zoo with Ashley, Emily, Aunt Lora, and Grandma Wylene. A girls adventure... and what an adventure it was. The whole purpose was to see the new baby elephant.
He weighed around 400 pounds already... but I called him very small.
So far - we are all smiles, especially sister!

Then it was time to see the hippos. First we sat on the hippo statues. Ashley is really good at getting me to "pose" for the picture. (What you don't see is me yelling at her 2 seconds later to stop touching my face!)

Sister had to stay in the stroller most of the time. But she still had a good view.

Pay close attention to the faces. Little did I know what was right behind me...

Here is the close up sister and I are now getting...

TOO CLOSE FOR ME!!!
(Sister doesn't understand the reality of it all.)

Here we are running around before lunch. Mom and Aunt Lora went to the car to get the sandwiches and when they return, mom will find sister (aka puff girl - check out the coat) crying with a bloody lip. No pictures of it but she was trying to run with us and fell. With her coat being a bit too big, she couldn't catch herself with anything except her face! Sorry sis - you will catch up to us soon!

But by the time lunch was over, we all posed for a picture.
What a day!
