Beat the heat!

The week before last was a hot one... the temp reached 105 degrees for 2 straight days. We got tired of being cooped up in the house, so after a dentist appointment, mom and dad took us to the Children's Museum in Portland.

We played with a magnet board...

Kaitlyn sharpened her secretarial skills...

as did I... (we each had a different favorite job)

and then we tested out driving an ambulance. It was so hard to contain our excitement!

When we got tired of the bells and whistles, we went to the clay room and pounded on some wet clay.

Then I posed in a tree. It was a great afternoon! Can't wait to go again with more friends!

Another way we beat the heat was in our swimming pool. Even Kaitlyn got in this year. We splashed around and acted really silly. Mom laughed pretty hard.

But don't take my word for it... watch the footage!
(Be sure to listen to my response to a bee flying by.)

I was extra hot so K would dump water on my head. It was great until I tried to do it to her. She would scream and I would get in trouble... go figure!

Here are scenes of Kaitlyn... don't want her to feel left out!

And finally, here are more moves I can do in the pool... as if you haven't laughed enough already!

You girls are so much fun! I can't wait to see you tomorrow. Maybe you can teach me how to swim, or dance, or say funny things!
