Summertime blues

It is that time again when we say goodbye to summer... not the weather, but the vacations.
But we went out with a bang!

First, we went to my Grandma Wylene's family reunion for the Hunter side. We met new people, saw people we didn't know we were related to, and ate a picnic lunch. My cousins were there to help keep things fun.

The next day we went to Anderson Island to check out our property. I get pretty excited riding on the ferry boat. And I love our property... whatever that is.

It was a beautiful day at the Island. We sat outside on the ferry to watch the water.

We ate frozen yogurt waterside after throwing many rocks into the water. Mom taught sister and I how to step with our opposite foot when we throw. Maybe she does know what she is talking about because my rocks went really far after that!

Before we caught the ferry home, we went to the little store on the island and got our own ice cream cone.

Me... being careful and enjoying my ice cream.

Sister... mowing it down and done in record time with the whole thing!

Who knew she could eat ice cream that fast! Maybe because she knew dad would help finish it if it was time to go. I had to share but she got all of hers! I plan to eat faster next time.

On the way home, one would have thought since it was almost 3pm and we had played so hard that we would fall asleep on the boat. Yeah right! We stayed in the car and played around. Kaitlyn surprised us with a new saying... just watch!
